Elementary Ministry

Our Vision for Elementary Ministry

Partnering with parents is a pleasure in the elementary department. We want the parents who come through the doors at HBC to understand that spiritual training is a God-assigned task for those who have answered the call of “Dad” or “Mom.” HBC desires to come along beside parents to help, encourage, and support each family through this journey. Younger elementary age children want to know God is real, the Bible is God’s word and they can trust it. The older elementary children are internalizing what they have been taught about God and making their statements of belief. The older children are also learning that they must be able to defend their faith against false teachings that are presented throughout the world culture. Our hope is that as the children grow through the elementary department that they will come to know Jesus as the Lord and Savior of their life. HBC desires that these children will create friendships in our church which will increase the sense of belonging and a desire to be at church. We want to help our parents lay a spiritual foundation that will impact their family and future generations.
